LifeWallet

Blockchain Credential Verification Platform

LifeWallet is a blockchain platform for safely storing and verifying the educational records that matter to someone's employment or further study like diplomas, certificates, and the rest. Those records can then be shared with potential employers and educational establishments to confirm the holder's experience and skills.

We built a web platform where people keep their diplomas and certificates in a blockchain vault, and the institutions that issued them confirm they are real.

Scope and Objectives

01

Credential Vault

People store diplomas, certificates, and other educational records in a blockchain vault built to keep them safe and unalterable.

02

Verification by Institutions

Companies, organisations, and educational establishments take the second role on the platform, verifying the records submitted by the people who hold them.

03

Two-Stage Verification

Records pass through two stages of verification rather than one, so a credential is confirmed before it carries any weight.

04

Sharing with Employers

Verified records can be attached to a CV or shared directly with potential employers and educational establishments as proof of experience and skills.

Focus Areas and Deliverables

01

Blockchain Data Vault

The storage layer is the product: records written to the blockchain so that what an employer sees is what the institution confirmed, with no room to edit it afterwards.

02

Two-Stage Verification Flow

The flow that carries a record from the holder to the verifying organisation and back, in two stages, with both roles seeing the state of a record at any point.

03

Admin Panel

An administrative panel with data visualisation and statistics, giving a view across the records and the verifications moving through the system.

04

Interface Design and Handoff

The interface was designed and specified in full before development began, and the build followed that agreed design throughout.

Challenges Identified

Building on an Unproven Technology

Creating a safe data storage and verification platform on blockchain was a cumbersome task given how new the system was. With no previous experience building a secure blockchain data vault, the team had to rely on analytical work and on the development instinct its engineers had earned over years of building software.

Trust Is the Product

A credential vault is only worth using if an employer believes what it shows. The platform had to make a record verifiably genuine, not merely stored, which is what put blockchain at the centre of it.

Two Roles in One System

Individuals presenting credentials and organisations confirming them want different things from the same records, and each role needed its own view and its own permissions over the same data.

Results of the project

A blockchain vault with two roles, two-stage verification, and an admin panel.

LifeWallet is a blockchain platform with two user roles. The first is for people who want to store and verify their diplomas or certificates in a bulletproof blockchain vault, to add them later to their CVs or other documents. The second is for the companies, organisations, and educational establishments that verify those records.

The application carries two-stage data verification and an admin panel with data visualisation and statistics.

Result Image

Business Value

Credentials that prove themselves, without a phone call to the registrar.

Credentials an Employer Can Trust

A record confirmed on the platform carries the institution's verification with it, so an employer is reading proof rather than a claim.

Proof That Travels with the Person

Holders keep their own verified records and attach them to a CV or an application whenever they need them, rather than requesting paperwork each time.

Verification Without the Back-and-Forth

Institutions confirm records directly in the platform, replacing the phone calls and letters that usually sit behind a background check.

Oversight Through the Admin Panel

Data visualisation and statistics give the operator a view of what is being stored and verified across the platform.
